THULE AIR BASE, Greenland - Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Mark A. Welsh III, greets Lt. Col. Kim Mikkelsen, Danish Liaison Officer at Thule Air Base, Greenland on Nov. 23. Hosted by the 821st Air Base Group, Welsh made a special holiday trip to interact with the Artic Airmen as well as gain a better understanding of the unique missile warning and space surveillance and satellite command and control operations missions of the 21st Space Wing and 50th Space Wing units stationed there.
