July Peterson Exercise
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo.—Senior Airman Jamie Ortiz, 21st Medical Operations Squadron simulates administering a measles vaccine to Airman 1st Class Jacob Davis, 3rd Space Operations Squadron, during a base-wide exercise July 16, 2015. The exercise scenario was a measles outbreak that originated at a nearby tourist attraction during a military appreciation weekend. As part of the response, the 21st Medical Group set up a vaccine distribution point on base where Airmen and their families from Peterson and Schriever Air Force Base could receive treatment if they were experiencing symptoms.
