Educating kids at STARBASE Academy
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. –Senior Airman James Boone, 21st Aerospace Medical Squadron bioenvironmental engineering technician, demonstrates the advantages and disadvantages of wearing the chemical suit to fifth grade students from Mark Twain Elementary at the STARBASE Academy, April 30, 2015. Staff Sgt. Jennifer Hobson and Boone described some of their daily duties and the science behind the chemical suits, and explained how they conduct water and chemical testing. STARBASE is a Department of Defense youth program where local students come to Peterson and learn about science, technology, engineering and math.
