Diamond Sharp
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – Master Sgt. Brian Beaty (left) 52nd Airlift Squadron acting first sergeant, and Capt. Aaron Bowens (right), 52nd AS maintenance officer, present the Diamond Sharp award to Senior Airman Isitolo Lautoa, 52nd AS aircraft hydrualics systems specialist, Feb. 11. Lautoa led a “Redball” response team, identifying and replacing a steering control valve ahead of a two-hour standard, which enabled a presidential support mission. Additionally, he rebuilt and replaced a worn hydraulic test stand hose, saving the Air Force $300,000 for a new aircraft support equipment. (U.S. Air Force photo by Robb Lingley)
