21st OSS de-ice Globemaster
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – Personnel from the 21st Operations Support Squadron de-ice a C-17 Globemaster Jan. 13 at the Peterson flightline. The aircraft was from Travis AFB. Snow and ice on an aircraft can decrease lift, increase drag and cause a crash, making the 21st OSS support invaluable to flight safety. (U.S. Air Force photo by Craig Denton)
