Cheyenne Mountain AFS holds Vigilant Shield exercise
CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN AIR FORCE STATION, Colo. — Airmen with the 302nd Airlift Wing stand in the industrial elevator after taking custody of two simulated, deceased Airmen. Mortuary affairs is a critical component when handling the remains of personnel within the secured complex that has limited space and resources. This was all part of the Vigilant Shield exercise Oct. 202-6 where CMAFS team members responded to real-world scenarios that could take place within the mountain.
