821st SFS gets new leader
THULE AIR BASE, Greenland – Col. Mike Colón (left), former 821st Air Base Group commander, passes the 821st Security Forces Squadron guidon to Capt. Jason Stack, during a change of command ceremony. Stack took command of the 821st SFS June 13. The 821st SFS is one of the 21st Space Wing’s 23 geographically separated units, and supports Thule’s missile warning, missile defense, space surveillance and satellite command and control missions by managing the integrated defense and force protection of 600 year-round residents and $2.6 billion in resources.
