821st SPTS gets new leader
THULE AIR BASE, Greenland – Col. Mike Colón (left), former 821st Air Base Group commander, passes the 821st Support Squadron guidon to Maj. Jeremiah Hammill, during a change of command ceremony. Hammill took command of the 821st SPTS June 27. The 821st SPTS is one of the 21st Space Wing’s 23 geographically separated units, and supports Thule’s missile warning, missile defense, space surveillance and satellite command and control missions through engineering, communications, medical, logistical, air field, services and personnel support.
