ID checks at fitness center
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – Have your ID handy at the Peterson Fitness and Sports Center, which is now conducting random ID card checks during the week and 100 percent checks on the weekends in an effort to curb thefts that have been occurring in the locker rooms. "The majority of thefts we are seeing are from people not properly securing their personal items in the locker rooms," said Roger Hill, Fitness and Sports Center athletic director. The staff at the fitness center asks that patrons be patient with the ID check process and leave personal items of value secured in their vehicles or use the lockers provided. The fitness center front desk will loan locks for daily use, if needed. (U.S. Air Force photo/Michael Golembesky)
