United through reading
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – The United Through Reading Military Program is designed to give deploying service members an opportunity to recorded personal DVDs of themselves reading children’s books to leave with their families and loved ones. This is done to help maintain the connection and relationships between the deployed service members and their children. It also helps to minimize the trauma and confusion that many children experience during homecomings. (Courtesy photo)
