Giving Thanksgiving
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – Members of the Peterson Diamond Council, commissary, local vendors and parishioners at the base chapel raised about $8,900 in donations and funds to fill 233 Thanksgiving baskets to give to Peterson military families. Along with the basket, which included all the fixings and sides, members received a $25 commissary gift card to purchase the main course of their choosing. Unit representatives identified 233 families who could benefit from the assistance and worked with the Peterson Diamond Council to help them enjoy the holiday, regardless of rank, unit or branch of service.
