Museum hosts STEM summer camp
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. —Children and teens from Peterson AFB participate in a Challenger Learning Center of Colorado summer camp hosted at the Edward J. Peterson Air and Space Museum here. The first-time event is part of a partnership to promote and educate youths about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics—STEM—which was taught through a lesson plan rooted in the theme of “Aerospace Innovations.” With a combination of classes with hands-on activities, campers spent the week learning about STEM through the history of modern flight.
