The Air Force is restructuring the installation acquisition support function to centralize the process. It will draw in from 71 separate locations buying the things the force needs to function from day to day to five regional centers. Among other benefits, these centers will find commonalities in the purchasing of goods and services so that the Air Force will reap the benefits of savings based on bulk purchases.
