PGA pro Andy Bean to visit Peterson

One of the 2008 U.S. Senior Open’s golf professionals is making a tour 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. July 29 through Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., to help golfers improve their game. Andy Bean, an 11-time winner on the PGA tour between 1977 and 1986, presents a free golf clinic on the 18th fairway with a reception held at the Silver Spruce Golf Course club house here immediately afterwards. Those interested in watching the U.S. Senior Open up close can take advantage of the Military Family Day held July 30 at the Broadmoor in southwest Colorado Springs. All active duty and retired military personnel receive free admission, a voucher for a free lunch and a discount in the merchandise tent for themselves and their families.
