21st Medical Group changes command

Col. John C. Sell assumed command of the 21st Medical Group from Col. Mark Allen during a ceremony on Aug. 1 at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. Colonel Sell joins the 21st MDG from Air Force Space Command headquarters, where he was the Medical Support Division chief as well as the Command Administrator. Colonel Sell is board certified in healthcare administration and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has held a variety of positions in the Air Force serving at the unit, major command, joint and also held two Air Staff-level positions at the Air Force Surgeon’s Office and at the Pentagon in the Air Force Directorate of Programs. The 21st MDGs’ outgoing commander, Colonel Allen, moves to Malcolm Grove Medical Center at Travis AFB, Calif., where he will serve as the hospital’s administrator. The ceremony was officiated by Col.
