21st Space Wing Volunteer of the Year
Amy Wren, from the Peterson Spouses Club, has served as the organization's president for two years. As president, she provided unprecedented support to all active and retired military spouses regardless of rank. She oversaw the Peterson Thrift Shop which generates more than $20,000 in revenue annually for the welfare and scholarship fund. Never missing a meeting or function, she directed several vital programs, including Right Start, the Peterson Spouse’s Club Web site and newsletter and acted as the liaison for the American Red Cross. Ms. Wren re-introduced the “Meals While Mending Program” providing comfort for members in need. She also coordinated with more than 650 students to support “Donuts with Dad” and “Muffins with Mom.” Finally, her dedication to the Peterson Spouses Club fundraisers increased revenue 600 percent.
