21st Space Wing Civilian Supervisor of the Year -- Category II
The leadership of John Huber, 21st Contracting Squadron, 21st Mission Support Group, was instrumental in supporting two, four-star headquarters commands while leading a team consisting of 12 personnel. He managed Air Force Space Command's largest government purchase card program with $24 million in expenditures. Mr. Huber’s leadership and oversight of numerous contract projects, including the base cable TV contract, corrosion control and more than $850,000 in global war on terrorism purchases were critical to mission success. Mr. Huber’s accomplishments earned him the distinction of being one of 15 personnel Air Force-wide to be selected by the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisitions and Contracting to stand-up the contracting transformation program.
