Staff Sgt. Gabriel Lira, 332nd Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron structural engineer, screws in the floor boards of a new pavilion in Balad’s Housing 6 area, March 19. The pavilion will offer servicemembers a place to drink coffee, read and socialize. They have completed taxiway repairs, and built a 4,000 square-foot concrete pad for a munitions storage area and foreign object and debris checkpoint.
