2007 Team Peterson Company Grade Officer of the Year
among his numerous outstanding deed during 2007, Capt. Theodore Celen spend more than six month deployed to Iraq where his duties took him across 2,000 milies of hostile territory as he established critical communications capabilities at 65 locations for more than 1,500 combat Airmen. Specifically, while under threat of sniper fire, he installed communications equipment in the Baghdad area which enabled more than 1,000 "outside the wire" combat patrols. While deployed, he managed to squeeze in 15 semester hours towards a master's degree in science. Captain Celen is from the 614th Communications Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo)
