The future of communication is now

A model of the Wideband Global Satellite Communication system, known as 'WGS,' is showcased in the rafters of the Air Force Space Command headquarters building April 5 at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. The WGS, the most powerful communications satellite in the Department of Defense inventory, will replace current communication satellite systems for the foreseeable future. The system went active April 15. (U.S. Air Force photo)
