Cheyenne mountain members learn about going ‘green’
Tech. Sgts. Jeffrey Wulfekuhl (right) and Jay Mitchell look inside a new Hybrid Chevy April 22 at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station’s Earth Day events. The event helped to raise awareness of environmental issues and energy conservation techniques through demonstration booths sponsored by local organizations and businesses. The demonstrations were geared toward what individuals could do personally to conserve on energy. The installation, located in southern Colorado, operates, maintains, secures, sustains, mobilizes, tests and controls the worldwide warning and surveillance system for North America. The Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment weapon system is airborne, land- and space-based and can sense and report on all activities in air and space. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt.
