Bird bath

About 25 volunteers from the 21st Space Wing Director of Staff wash an F-86L “Dog Sabre” May 11 at the Peterson Museum. The unit “adopted” the aircraft, and wash it three times each year, giving it a coat of wax once a year. The group moved quickly, and had enough time to wash an additional craft which has not been adopted yet. The museum has 17 aircraft, including three Army missiles, on display and needs volunteers to adopt seven of them. To adopt an aircraft, call the museum at 556-8314.
