Bite out of crime

Peterson Airmen gave a military working dog demonstration Aug. 4 in Woodland Park, Colo. Here, Tech. Sgt. Jesse Frank, 21st Security Forces Squadron, and his dog Atak, showed the crowd how they detain a suspect. Sergeant Frank also explained the importance of the working dogs while deployed to Afghanistan or Iraq. "If we could bring a dog (on patrol) with us, we did," Sergeant Frank said. "We use them for just about everything over there, searching vehicles, searching stuff coming onto the base, (including) mail. Unfortunately, we never have enough dogs." The demonstration was part of the 25th anniversary of Langstaff-Brown Urgent Care Center in Woodland Park. (Courtesy photo)
