Sergeant 1st Class Travion Smith, (left) stationed at Fort Carson, and Tech. Sgt. Rodney Reed, 21st Space Wing Equal Opportunity Office, talk with Jeremy Russeau, 18, of Colorado Springs, Oct. 22. Sergeants Smith and Reed found Mr. Russeau banged up, struck by a hit-and-run driver, in the middle of the road at Academy Boulevard and Chelton Road Oct.17. They called 911, covered him with a blanket and kept him from being hit by oncoming traffic while emergency crews responded. Jeremy, who is recovering from his injuries, wanted to thank the sergeants in person. (Photo by Stacie Shain)
