NORAD 50th

The North American Aerospace Defense Command 50th anniversary logo. The dominant element of the logo is the number 50 in a shiny, golden tone. The golden color was chosen because a 50th anniversary is often referred to as the “Golden Anniversary” or “Golden Jubilee.” The NORAD crest and the name at the bottom of the logo clearly identify the command. The crossed flags of Canada and of the U. S. reflect the bi-national character of NORAD. (Courtesy graphic/NORAD)
