Thank you!
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – Lt. Col. John Silverman, 21st Force Support Squadron commander, (far right) thanks base volunteers April 22 during a Volunteer Recognition Reception at Building 350. National Volunteer Appreciation Week was April 18 to 24 and had a theme, “Volunteers, Build a Better World.” More than 350 volunteers on Peterson provide thousands of hours of service and save the base millions, officials said. The 21st Space Wing Volunteer of the Year is Louis Steinberg, Jewish-Lay leader at the Peterson Chapel. There are dozens of volunteer opportunities on base and in the community. For information call volunteer coordinator Jim Reynolds at 556-6141. (U.S. Air Force photo/Craig Denton)
