DoD Pikes Peak Partnership Small Business of the Year Award winners named

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- (Left to right) James Robinson, Santa Barbara Applied Research, George Hamrick, SBAR, Addie Alexander, 21st Contracting Squadron, Grace Sawani, SBAR, and Bradley Rutan, SBAR, accept the 2010 Department of Defense Pikes Peak Partnership Small Business of the Year Award at the “Gateway to Government Contracting” 2010 Small Business Outreach Event, April 27. This annual event is an example of coordination and communication among government agencies and private industry, and saw more than 250 private companies, both large and small, in attendance. Attendees met with representatives of numerous government agencies including Peterson AFB, U.S. Air Force Academy, Fort Carson, Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Schriever AFB, the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce and the newly-established Procurement Technical Assistance Center. Nearly 400 people attended the day and a half long event, and had the opportunity to network and participate in more than 20 hours of seminars and training. (U.S. Air Force photo/Larry Hulst)
