Crash test dummies
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Crash test dummies Vince and Larry (Katelyn Smith, in the gray suit and Rae Reeves in the blue suit), wave at Team Pete personnel as they leave the north gate May 27 on Peterson Air Force Base. The crash dummies were out to remind drivers, “Don’t leave safety at the gate,” as they drove off to a four-day weekend for Memorial Day, which is the start of the Air Force 101 Critical Days of Summer safety campaign. Last summer, the 21st Space Wing had 18 reported mishaps and 17 percent of those were private motor vehicle accidents. The 101 Critical Days of Summer safety campaign runs now to Labor Day weekend.
