MWD Ceremony
Chaky, a Belgian Malinois, prepares to pounce during a training exercise in his younger days. Air Force military working dogs are dual purpose, as both patrol dog and either narcotics or explosives detection. The ceremony June 8 at Peterson AFB recognized the dogs as integral parts of the security forces squadron, providing protection and support for both handlers and the installation.
