Armed Forces Voters Week
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Senior Master Sgt. Lisa Gibson, Peterson Air Force Base installation voting assistance officer, waves at motorists June 29 at the north gate of the base. Sergeant Gibson was promoting Armed Forces Voters Week, which encourages Airmen to register to vote including through absentee ballot. Sergeant Gibson and Gail Whalen, also an installation voting assistance officer, made the rounds dressed as Uncle Sam throughout the week to let Airmen know they can register to vote at www.fvap.gov. Armed Forces Voters Week and Overseas Citizens Voters Week runs June 28 through July 7.
