CMAFS

CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN AIR FORCE STATION, Colo. -- Maj. Gen. Michael Basla, Air Force Space Command vice commander, receives his meal from Ms. La-Toya Munson, Army and Air Force Exchange Services Granite Inn dining hall employee July 19. After breakfast General Basla received a detailed orientation on the 721st Mission Support Group's installation support and protection efforts. Additionally, he visited key mission partners including U.S. Strategic Command's Missile Warning Center, North American Aerospace Defense Command/U.S. Northern Command's Alternate Command Center, and the center of the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment universe, 721st's own Global Strategic Warning/Space Surveillance System Center. The orientation's focus was to communicate the importance of the diverse elements operating within Cheyenne Mountain that work together to ensure a global warning element in direct support of national security. CMAFS, operated by the 721st MSG, is one of six globally-dispersed installations operated by the 21st Space Wing at Peterson Air Force Base. (U.S. Air Force photo)
