Military working dog
Master Sgt. Eric Haynes, 21st Security Forces Squadron noncommissioned officer in charge of the military working dog section, praises Gina, a four-year-old German shepherd, during her off-duty play time July 21 at the Peterson Air Force Base dog kennel. Sergeant Haynes spent the past six months working daily with Gina, who suffered from post traumatic stress disorder after her tour in the Middle East. Gina was skittish, disturbed by any sound, was antisocial and showed no interest in her work, which is to detect bombs and narcotics. Rehabilitation efforts worked and Gina was recently re-certified for patrol and detection. (U.S. Air Force photo/Monica Mendoza)
