Condor Crest
First responders render CPR to a tornado victim during a quarterly Condor Crest exercise on Peterson Air Force Base Aug. 16 to 20. In the scenario, a tornado whipped through the north side of the base, leaving more than 30 people injured and scattered through the ball fields. The exercise was an opportunity for Peterson emergency responders to practice response to a natural disaster and work with outside agencies, including the Flight for Life emergency helicopter transport, the Colorado Springs Emergency Operation Center and the Colorado Springs 911 call center.
