Condor Crest

Staff Sgt. Benjamin Baird, 21st Security Forces Squadron, apprehends a suspect in an active shooter scenario during the quarterly Condor Crest exercise on Peterson Air Force Base Aug. 16 to 20. The scenario played out in front of the Forest L. Vosler NCO Academy and several nearby buildings went into lockdown mode. The exercise is an opportunity for security forces to practice responses to an active shooter on base, a real life incident that occurred at Fort Hood, Texas, in November 2009.
