Tech. Sgt. David Anderson, 21st Space Wing Fitness Assessment Cell augmentee, proctors a recent fitness test under the new Air Force Instruction. In a good sit-up, shoulder blades touch the floor in the down position. There is no resting in the down position and in the up position, elbows must touch the thigh. In a good pushup, the elbow is in a 90 degree angle in the down position and the arm is fully extended in the up position. Pushups and sit-ups that are not performed correctly will not be counted.
