Broncos Military Appreciation Day
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – Master Sgt. David Pesch, 21st Space Wing director of staff first sergeant, presents the Denver Broncos football game ball to Col. Stephen N. Whiting, 21st SW commander. The Broncos, who played the Seattle Seahawks at home, paid tribute to military members during their annual U.S. Military Appreciation Day pre-game ceremony Sept. 19. Members from the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marines were thanked for their service. Airmen, along with other military members, had the opportunity to meet former Denver Broncos quarterback and Hall of Famer John Elway and other Broncos players and each service branch received a souvenir game ball. The salute to the military has become a Broncos tradition. (U.S. Air Force photo/Larry Hulst)
