Kathy Kucharski, Peterson Library manager, shows off book shelves in the Peterson Library during an open house Oct. 28. In this area, old book shelves were held together with a piece of rope. The new shelves were purchased with “quality of life” funds from North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command. In fiscal year 2010, there were more than 95,000 patrons in the library, which serves the 21st Space Wing and all of the wing’s mission partners (U.S. Air Force photo/Monica Mendoza)
