Emergency Response Vehicle

PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. - Air crew and loadmasters with the 302nd Airlift Wing and members of the U.S. Northern Command Standing Joint Force Headquarters observe closely as the SJFHQ's Emergency Response Vehicle is loaded onto a C-130 cargo plane for the first time. USNORTHCOM SJFHQ's mission is to provide Commander, USNORTHCOM with the scalable capability to form the core of a Joint Task Force or to augment multiple organizations in order to anticipate and conduct Homeland Defense and Civil Support missions anywhere in the USNORTHCOM Area of Responsibility during planned or crisis operations. The ERV provides communications for deployed SJFHQ personnel and augments the capabilities of supported organizations during deployed operations. The ERV supports SJFHQ's ability to rapidly deploy and provide situational awareness and support for SJFHQ and USNORTHCOM operations in support of federal, state, and local authorities.
