SFS Airman recieves Elizabeth Jacobson Award
Staff Sgt. Archie Garcia, 21st Security Forces Squadron, who was deployed in 2010 to a forward operating base in Afghanistan, is the recipient of the Elizabeth Jacobson Award for Expeditionary Excellence, given for outstanding performance during deployment. Sergeant Garcia, along with Master Sgt. Lee Stevenson, also a member of the 21st SFS, fended off an attack by Afghanistan insurgents on the base during a two-hour gunfight.
