Seatbelt safety
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Chief Master Sgt. Thomas Trottier, 21st Space Wing command chief, gives a thumbs-up to drivers as he performs a seatbelt and cell phone check Feb. 18 on Peterson Air Force Base. More than 670 personnel were observed that afternoon. The chief, and members of the 21st Safety Office, observed seven seatbelt offenders and one driver talking on a cell phone without a hands-free device. Overall, there was 98 percent compliance. The 21st Space Wing continued compliance observations and enforcement in preparation for the up-coming Operational Readiness Inspection and Unit Compliance Inspection, which began Feb. 25.
