CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN AIR FORCE STATION, Colo. -- Col. Russell Wilson, 721st Mission Support Group commander, hosts a mock press conference March 7 as part of an emergency response scenario during the 21st Space Wing’s Operational Readiness Inspection, which continues through this week. In this scenario three people were injured as a result of a generator fire inside the Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station complex. CMAFS stood up its emergency operations center to assist the first responders and ensure maximum life safety and property protection measures were in place. The ORI tests the wing’s ability to perform deployment operations, emergency response actions and evaluates compliance with Department of Defense, Air Force, Headquarters Air Force Space Command and 21st Space Wing instructions. The Headquarters AFSPC Inspector General will brief the wing on its performance March 21. (U.S. Air Force photo/Craig Denton)
