Sharp Airman
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. –The Pike's Peak Top 3 selected Airman 1st Class Miranda Shaffer (center), 21st Medical Support Squadron, for its Sharp Warrior award. Presenting the award are Master Sgt. Kelli Remmert (left), 21st Aerospace Medicine Squadron and Master Sgt. Brian Peter, Pike's Peak Top 3 President. According to the Top 3, Shaffer's noticeable performance in exceeding Dress and Personnel Appearance standards and following traditional customs and courtesies was evident to her superiors and peers while part of the Peterson High Frontier Honor Guard. She served as judge and inspector for local state-level high school drill competitions, and her and her teams impeccably executed 30 funerals, 26 color postings and 16 retirements.
