Thule has amazing race
THULE AIR BASE, Greenland -- The Thule Air Base Rising 6 group, made up of Airmen ranks E-1 to E-6, hosted the Thule 2011 Amazing Race Sept. 5. The race consisted of four-person teams completing a series of 12 challenges or tasks around base, including bowling, climbing the 700-foot Mount Dundas, creating a 30-second music video and more. Awards were presented and recognition given to the top three finishers. “Team Alpha Super Awesome Cool Dynamite Wolf Squadron,” made up of Airmen from the security forces squadron, came in second place finishing in a little more than six hours. Team “Big Bird,” comprised of Thule Air Base senior leaders, came in first with a total time of just under five hours. (Courtesy photo)
