Peterson Air and Space Museum F-86 Sabre Dog

PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. - Adult and youth volunteers from the 21st Space Wing staff agencies kicked off the Peterson Air and Space Museum's “Adopt-A-Plane” season May 31 by washing the F-86 Sabre Dog. Through the Adopt-A-Plane program, base organizations perform periodic washings and minor maintenance on the museum's display aircraft and missiles. The 21st SW staff has adopted the F-86 since 2008. Several museum display aircraft are available for adoption. For information on “adopting” a piece of military history, contact Jeff Nash at 556-8314. (U.S. Air Force photo/Jeff Nash)
