CAVALIER AIR FORCE STATION, N.D. -- Col. David Miller Jr., 21st Operations Group commander, passes the 10th Space Warning Squadron guidon to Lt. Col. Michelle Kneupper during a change-of-command ceremony July 10 at Cavalier Air Force Station, N.D. The 10th SWS is located 15 miles south of the Canadian and U.S. border, and operates and maintains the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System, which provides critical missile warning and space surveillance data to North American Aerospace Defense Command, United States Strategic Command and regional combatant commanders.
