The Sleep Awareness Campaign encourages Airmen and Guardians to make the connection between sleep optimization, with their general health and well-being. One of the best ways to improve your chances of a good night’s rest is adopting sleep optimization strategies.

Sleep is essential for good health; it is a necessity, not a luxury. Try taking a closer look at your sleeping habits and make sure you’re getting enough. To make the transition a little easier, the Sleep Awareness Campaign focuses on sleep optimization strategies that can be incorporated into your daily routine.

For the next seven days starting July 21, Peterson-Schriever Garrison Health Promotions will provide messages on strategies for optimal sleep. We also encourage you, your flight or your entire squadron to attend our sleep hygiene class. We provide classes in-person or virtual. We can also come to your squadron by request. To learn more about sleep optimization, sleep and shift work and how it effects performance and mission readiness, contact the Health Promotions office.

Class Schedule:
In-person every 1st Tuesday at 1 p.m.
Virtually every 4th Thursday at 10 a.m.
