CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT SARAH K. WILLIAMS
CMSgt Williams serves as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader of Space Base Delta 1, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, In this role, she advises the Commander on the effective employment of over 2,800 members providing Base Operating Support to more than 17,000 military, civilians and contractor personnel serving across 114 organizations at 23 global operating locations worldwide. These personnel execute critical U.S. Space Force missions including offensive and defensive space operations; missile warning; space domain awareness; space control; position, navigation, and timing; satellite communications; electronic warfare; intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance; and cyberspace missions. SBD 1 also hosts real property at four installations to include Peterson SFB, Pituffik Space Base, Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station, and the Maui Space Surveillance Complex on the summit of Haleakala, Hawaii. Chief Williams partners to maximize mission readiness, resource utilization, and combined organizational performance, which provide the resiliency necessary for mission success across SBD 1 operations locations.
Chief Williams was raised as an Air Force dependent in the United Kingdom and Arizona and attended Northern Arizona University before making the decision to enlist. She entered active duty from Ramstein Air Base, Germany in January 2004 and has served in a variety of intelligence and leadership positions with primary duties ranging from analysis and advisement at the tactical, operational and strategic levels. Chief Williams has significant agency and joint-service experience with assignments in the Defense Intelligence Agency, National Security Agency, and National Reconnaissance Office. Prior to her current position, Chief Williams was Senior Enlisted Advisor, Aerospace Data Facility, at Buckley SFB, Colorado.
She transferred into the U.S. Space Force on February 10, 2021, after 17 years of service in the U.S. Air Force.
