Public affairs captures April Gold Knight

PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The 21st Space Wing Public Affairs Office was named the April Gold Knight recipient for responding to media during an escaped inmate incident near Woodland Park, Colo. The public affairs office kept the public informed of the status of investigation and his capture.

The public affairs office dominated intense media interest during Senior Airman Herbert Mullens' escape from custody April 18-20. Despite limited office resources, public affairs was able to respond to all media queries and achieve neutral media coverage.

Public Affairs team members include Capt. Holly Hess, Jeff Bohn, Stephen Brady, Tech. Sgt. Amanda Callahan, Tech. Sgt. Kurt Arkenberg, Staff Sgt. Stacey Haga and Eileen Lopez.
